Parker released a single version for the Atari computers, 400/800/1200.
The 5200 version is the same code and graphics, modified for the 5200 memory map and controllers. I was responsible for all of these versions.
The Atari 800 version was developed for Parker Bros. by Roklan Corp.
Punky, you haven't seen the arcade-, or the Atari 5200-versions? Or the C64 version? Pretty much all Frogger versions are good, but to say that this version is THE BEST makes one only think that you haven't seen all the versions as of yet.
Can you at least elaborate; WHAT in your opinion makes this version the best that you have seen? (How about 'you have heard' or 'you have played' or 'you have experienced'? Are those different?)
A good Frogger, nothing wrong with it - but it's difficult to make Frogger into somethign bad. Heck, even the Apple II-version is a great game!

The best version of Frogger I've ever seen besides the remake on the Wii Ware Frogger Returns. Excellent game.

There is a story. See:

Does anyone know the story as to why there were three "official licensed" US versions of Frogger, each by a different author, and published by two different companies? It must be an interesting story.
